Explore Survivor 41 (Season 41), featuring a condensed 26-day format, innovative twists, and Erika Casupanan’s groundbreaking victory as the first Canadian Sole Survivor in this dynamic season.

Survivor 41, the forty-first season of the CBS reality competition series, premiered on September 22, 2021, and concluded on December 15, 2021. Filmed in the Mamanuca Islands of Fiji, this season marked a major shift in the show's format, with the gameplay condensed into 26 days instead of the traditional 39, due to production adjustments during the COVID-19 pandemic. This accelerated timeline added intensity and urgency to the competition.

The cast featured 18 new players, divided into three tribes: Luvu, Ua, and Yase. These tribe names were derived from Fijian words meaning "flood," "wave," and "lightning," respectively. Survivor 41 also embraced a commitment to diversity, aligning with CBS’s pledge for at least 50% of reality show contestants to be people of color.

This season introduced new twists, including the "Shot in the Dark" die, giving players a one-in-six chance for immunity, and the "Beware Advantage," which came with significant risks for those who found it. These innovations, combined with the fast-paced format, created a dynamic and unpredictable game.

Erika Casupanan emerged as the Sole Survivor, defeating Deshawn Radden and Xander Hastings in a 7–1–0 vote. Erika’s strategic gameplay, ability to adapt, and social awareness secured her victory, making her the first Canadian and the first woman to win in seven seasons, as well as the first winner of Filipino descent.

Survivor 41 is celebrated for its historic milestones, diverse cast, and innovative gameplay, marking the beginning of a new era for the series.
